Dong Nai deploys $6.4 mil project to improve livestock production

(ĐN)- Dong Nai is now deploying US$6.4 mil project to raise the competitiveness of its livestock breeding and ensuring food safety.

(ĐN)- Dong Nai is now deploying US$6.4 mil project to raise the competitiveness of its livestock breeding and ensuring food safety. The Livestock Competitiveness and Food Safety (LIFSAP) project is implemented in six years and financed by World Bank.

Many pig breeding households will get benefit from Lifsap project.

The project aims to achieve increased production efficiency of household producers. It will also reduce negative environmental impact by supporting livestock producers, markets and slaughterhouses to meet environmental standards, and improved food safety by supporting slaughterhouses and meat markets to operate at national hygienic standards.

Through this project, household producers will be able to remain competitive so that they can participate in the sector’s growth and improve processing; markets will allow household producers to sell meat under conditions that are cleaner and safer to meet local people’s increasing demand of safer food.
