(ĐN)- According to a report of the Dong Nai Department of Planning and Investment, Dong Nai has experienced a strong increase in the gross domestic product (GDP) over the past four years. The province achieved an average GDP growth rate of 13.5% for the period 2005-2009, 0.7% higher than the figure recorded for the period 2001-2005.
Dong Nai’s GDP is expected to reach about VND 62 trillion in 2009, two times higher than 2005.
As Dong Nai’s GDP continuously increases, the economic structure has also witnessed notable changes. The proportion of the industry and construction rose from 57% in 2005 to 57.3% in 2009; the service from 28% up to 32.8%; and only the agriculture, forestry and fishery droped from 15% to 9.9%.
