He visited a red dragon fruit garden in Binh Thuan province and learn how to grow them; after two years of trying, the trees finally started to bear small fruit with red pulp.
Because of its good quality, nice shape and great taste, this new fruit soon attracted customers at local market and expected to be well-known in foreign markets.
Tu said despite the high input cost, dragon fruit brings a profit of more than VND20 million to his family annually and expected that the figure will increase in near future.
