(ĐN)- Thong Nhat district’s Taxation Branch , on August 13, held a ceremony to review its activities in the past six months and set tasks for the remaining months of the year.
At the ceremony, the district praised good taxpayers who have well fulfilled their task of tax payment in 2008. Accordingly, the branch suggested the provincial Taxation Bureau to award certificates of merit to 94 enterprises and business households in the locality.
According to the district’s Taxation Branch, Thong Nhat’s tax revenue has increased fourfold over the last four years, from VND16 billion in 2004 to more than VND60 billion in 2008. To achieve the result, the branch’s employees has made reasonable to encourage local enterprises and individuals to declare and pay tax in full and on time.
In the first half of the year, the district’s Taxation Branch collected more than VND33 billion in tax, equaling 43.5% of the whole year estimates and increasing nearly 30 percent year on year.
