(ĐN)- The Dry Cell and Storage Battery Joint Stock Company (Pinaco) began the construction of a new battery factory on August 10 in Nhon Trach Industrial Zone, Dong Nai province.
The Pinaco Nhon Trach, with an annual designed capacity of 2 million kWh, will covers an area of 6 hectares.
In the first phase, Pinaco will invest VND260 billion in the infrastructure construction, production workshops and machine and equipment installation with capacity of 600,000 kWh per year. The factory will start operation of its first stage in September, 2010.
The company expects that the factory, once fully operational, will help double its current battery output.
