Nestle opens new factory

Nestle opened its Maggi monosodium glutamate producing plant in Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Zone, Dong Nai Province on Tuesday.

Nestle opened its Maggi monosodium glutamate producing plant in Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Zone, Dong Nai Province on Tuesday.

The plant has a total investment capital of US$5 million and its products will be sold in the domestic markets and exported to Cambodia and the Philippines.

The company also announced that La Vie Co, a joint venture between Nestle and Viet Nam’s partner, invested over $6 million to upgrade the production capacity of the mineral water producing plants, in which the capacity of the plant located in southern Long An Province would be doubled. It would invest additional $1.3 million to upgrade the plant located in northern Hung Yen province this year.
