(ĐN)- According to the Dong Nai provincial agricultural promotion centre, households in poor communes of the province will be provided seeds and agricultural materials in 2009 by the Centre in order to develop agricultural promotion’s models in difficult communes. Poor communes will receive benefits from the government’s policy that focused on promoting agricultural and fishery development in areas that face difficulties. The Government has issued Decision 162/TTg on policies for agricultural and fishery promotion in areas that face difficulties. The Decision 162 reflects the Government’s attention and priorities for poor farmers and fishermen, which is a condition to make hunger eradication and poverty reduction programmes more effective.

According to the decision, the budget from the State agricultural promotion fund will fully cover expenses for seeds and materials for presentation models in accordance to projects of local centres. It also covers the material documents and accommodation for producers and agricultural promotion workers to implement the programme.
There are still 63 difficult communes in Dong Nai province.
