(ĐN)- Lately, Xuan Loc district’s Party Executive Committee held a conference to review its activities in 2008 and set tasks for 2009. In spite of facing many difficulties and challenges, thanks to creative management by local authorities and party committees and support and efforts by people, Xuan Loc economy still saw improvements in the past year.
In 2008, the district achieved a total production value of more than VND1,000 billion, up 16-27 percent over the previous year. Xuan Loc also continued to maintain a relatively high economic growth rate of 16 percent, brought its average per capita GDP income to about VND12 million a year. Until now, Xuan Loc district established 134 high-productivity clubs with more than 5,000 members.
In 2009, the district will focus on developing industry by creating favourable conditions to attract investment. It will strive to increase the density of industry and service to 26.5-33 percent this year.
