(ĐN)- Vu Van Chuc, a vegetable grower in Thi Cau hamlet, Phu Dong commune, Nhon Trach district, Dong Nai province said that the cultivation of high yielding varieties of vegetables helped him earn between VND 5 million and VND 10 million per 1,000 sq.m per crop. Chuc told he growed 5-6 crops per year and netted more than VND 200 million in profit from growing vegetables on 5,000 sq.m per year. He added the income from vegetable farming helped him build a spacious house and pay school fees for his children. He also revealed that according to his experience, high value vegetables are cabbages, cauliflowers and kohlrabis and they are mainly grown in Lam Dong province while a few farmers grow them in Dong Nai.
