(ĐN)- Dong Nai is expected to attract US$3 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) this year. The figure included US$2.2 billion in registered capital from 88 newly-licensed FDI projects and a combined addition of US$800 million from 110 operational projects.
Besides, the province also licensed 50 new domestic projects and two expanded projects worth a total of VND21.7 trillion or US$1.3 billion.
In 2008, about 1,800 new privately owned enterprises have been established in Dong Nai with a combined capital of VND13 trillion and 530 operational enterprises have registered to expand their operations with a total additional capital of around VND5 trillion. So far, Dong Nai has granted licenses to 8,300 private enterprises totaling VND50 trillion.
