(ĐN)- Dong Nai’s import-export turnover is estimated at approximately $15 billion in 2008, achieving 99 percent of the year’s plan, a 27.5 percent year on year increase. Accordingly, the province earned an export turnover of $6.85 billion this year, making up 97.7 percent of the year’s target, up 25.1 percent against the previous year. Particularly, exports from foreign-invested enterprises accounted for $6.287 billion, up 25.2 percent; the central enterprises registered $170.9 million, up 23.7 percent; the local enterprises reached $390.6 million, up 24.1 percent. The enterprises’ main export products are rubber, cashew nuts, coffee, bee honey, shoes, garment, refined wood products, hand-made pottery, etc. Presently, some export agricultural products in the local are facing difficulties because of the reduced demand and lower prices.
