Minh made rambutan trees blossom out of season thanks to the application of modern cultivation techniques which gave a yield of 15 tons per hectare. The price of rambutan was VND 12,000 –VND 15,000 per kilo out of the season and Minh earned the profit of VND 165 million. Minh said he used muck as fertilizer, helping him save nearly VND 10 million.
If farmers who grow rambutan trees make these plants blossom out of the season, they will get benefits from selling their products because the price of rambutan is between two and three times higher than that in the season.
