Under the dispatch, the province has also banned production or selling of vegetables failing to meet food safety requirements and there will be strict punishment for violators.
The total area under vegetables in Dong Nai province is 13,000 hectares and about 170,000 tonnes of vegetables are produced for sale each year. Districts of Xuan Loc and Tan Phu and Bien Hoa city are the largest producers of vegetables in Dong Nai. Most farmers have received training courses on Integrated Pest Management in vegetables. The province has built a model under the principle of good agriculture practice in some districts. Every year, about more than 100,000 tonnes of safe vegetables produced in Dong Nai are supplied to neighboring provinces including Vung Tau, Binh Duong, Binh Thuan and
