Gannon pour millions into beverage plant

Gannon Beverages, one of the largest processor of milk, juice and tea in Southeast Asia, in May released that it is addressing the region’s surging demand for packaged drink products by injecting an additional $2.1 million into its Dong Nai Province plant.

The 20,000 sq.m facility on the outskirts of Vietnam’s commercial capital will be upgraded in two phases over the course of six months. When finished, filling capacity will be increased by 40 percent allowing the plant to better serve the needs of its core customer base, which includes powerhouse brands Nestle, Pepsi, F&N and Unilever.

Gannon Beverages plans to begin stage one of the expansion in June by adding two new Tetra Pak TBA-19 filling machines. A third machine will be implemented during the second stage, in November. Ultimately, the plan will have eight such machines, with a filling capability of 250 million units annually.

Located in Bien Hoa city, the factory is one of the largest beverage processing facilities in Southeast Asia, with more than 700 people providing dedicated Tetra Pak packing services for a host of multi-national and domestic brand owners.
