(ĐN)- The Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agriculture and Rural Development (IPSARD) and its southern center started carrying out Vietnam Agricultural Market Information Project (VAMIP) last year. The project will help improve Vietnamese agricultural producers, traders and managers’ ability to better respond to the market.

The US$4.95 million project is funded by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and will be implemented by the southern office of the institute and Agriteam
The project will take place in the provinces of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan, Dong Nai, Long An, Tien Giang, Vinh Long, and Kien Giang and in HCM City and Can Tho.
A delegation of IPSARD recently came to Dong Nai to work with the provincial Agriculture and Rural Development Department. 2 officials from Dong Nai’s Agriculture and Rural Development Department will be selected to take part in the project. At present, Dong Nai has nearly 50,000 ha of fruit trees and 12,000 ha of vegetables of various varieties.
