CP company leader worries about spreading PED virus disease from Thailand to Vietnam

(ĐN)- Late last week, Jirawit Rachatanan, Deputy General Director of the CP Vietnam Livestock Company met and inform Chairman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee Vo Van Mot that a hundred thousands of pigs died in Thailand due to diarrhoea.

(ĐN)- Late last week, Jirawit Rachatanan, Deputy General Director of the CP Vietnam Livestock Company met and inform Chairman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee Vo Van Mot that a hundred thousands of pigs died in Thailand due to diarrhoea. Mr. Jirawit Rachatanan said that the porcine epidemic diarrhea (PED) virus was detected in Thailand. He expressed his worries about the spreading PED virus disease from Thailand to Vietnam. He added there is a high risk of introduction of PED virus disease through illegal pig imports from Cambodia and Thailand. His warning will raise serious concerns for local functional agencies and the provincial Veterinary Department.
