
(ĐN)- Olympus has just received a license to invest US$43 million in a camera lens production plant in Long Thanh industrial park.
(ĐN)- Japans Olympus has just received an invesment certificate to develop a US$43 million factory at Long Thanh industrial park to manufacture digital cameras and endoscope devices. The plant, Olympus VN, will be built on an area of more than 3.2 ha and expected to put into operation on September, 2008. About 500 workers will be recruited and trained to work here.
At the working session with Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai on Nov. 15, Olympus Vietnams general project manager Yazaki Masami said that Olympus’ two main products are digital cameras and endoscope products, these products’ sales account for more than 50% of the corporation’s annual turnover.
