As many as 132 products were recognised by the ministry.
The rubber industry received the greatest number of awards with 63 Cups, of those, Dac Lac Rubber Company took home 11, Dong Nai Rubber Company won 10 and Dau Tieng Rubber Company, nine.
The cattle feed processing sector ranked second with 22 Cups, of which Lai Thieu Cattle Food Company had 11 and Bac Ninh Agricultural Products Joint Stock Company had nine.
The fruit and vegetables and tea industries were awarded 10 Cups each.
The sugar and cashew sectors won seven and nine Cups, respectively. Six coffee products were recognised and the pepper industry came in last with only one.
Between September 26 and 29, the ministry also held the "Viet Nam Agricultural Products Gold Cup 2007" for 19 enterprises in the AgroViet Fair and Exhibition 2007.
Minh Duc Biochemical Joint Stock Company was awarded three Cups for fertilisers and the Fruits, Vegetables and Agricultural Products Company also won three Cups.
The ministry also awarded congratulatory certificates to enterprises for technological and production achievements .
The awards were expected to encourage enterprises to improve quality pursuant to international standards and introduce the best products to consumers nation-wide.
