Bien Hoa Confectionery Corporation (Bibica) plans to produce 400 tons of moon cakes in Mid Autumn of this year, which is double compared to the previous year. Especially, Bibica is going to launch some new kinds of products such as the moon cakes with green tea flavor and others. Its products contain EGCG (Epigallocatechin Gallate) component of green tea and Lycopene, the red pigment in tomatoes and several fruits; they are good for consumer’s health. Besides, the traditional moon cakes with a low sugar content will be also produced to meet the special dietary needs of diabetics and customer. In 2006, the price of Bibica’s moon cakes will be 5% higher than that of last year because of the high cost of raw materials.K.Loan
