A record 150 products and brands from 149 enterprises will receive this years Sao Vang Dat Viet, or Viet Nam Gold Star 2006, Award.
The yearly award, organised by the Viet Nam Young Business Association, honours Vietnamese high-quality products and brands.
Organisers say the winning enterprises create jobs for 138,000 workers and earn total revenues of 72 trillion VND (4.54 billion USD).
The organisers received 1,254 nominations from 25 industries of 52 provinces and cities after they launched the contest on July 12.
It is the most Gold Stars awarded to date.
The awards will be presented at a ceremony amid a 400-stall display of the winning products and trademarks in Ha Nois Giang Vo Exhibition Centre on Sept. 2.
The exhibition will open on August 31 and close on Sept. 4.
Exhibitors will be reimbursed 50 percent of their total costs by the Finance Ministry.
