Taya shares to be listed

Taya has more new shareholders

(ĐN) - On February 15th, 20% of its shares or just over 3.65 million shares of the Taya Vietnam Electric Wire and Cable Joint Stock Company were officially listed at the HCM City Securities Trading Centre. The shares carry the code TYA and have a face value of VND10,000 per share. Taya Vietnam becomes the first foreign-invested enterprise (FIE) to float its shares on the local bourse.

On January 25th, the State Securities Commission (SSC) granted the certificate for further issuance of shares for Taya. Accordingly, the company issued an additional 2.74 million shares also with a value of VND10,000. The company currently declares that it intends to pay a 15 per cent dividend for fiscal 2005. Taya Vietnam is located in the Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Zone. This is a wholly Taiwanese invested company, which came to Vietnam in 1995 with total chartered capital of over VND182 billion. In the October 2005, Taya Vietnam transformed into a joint-stock company.
