(ĐN) – According to Mrs. Pham Thi Sum, the Chairwoman of the Board, Bien Hoa Sugar Jointstock Company (BSJC) intends to increase its total annual dividend payment by 20 per cent per share for fiscal year 2005. The company announces its highest ever dividend so far to reward its shareholders since it was equitized in 2001. This is the highest dividend declared by the company till date.
In 2005, BSJC produced about 31,000 tonnes of raw sugar from the Tay Ninh Sugar Company under the company and 60,000 tonnes of white refined sugar. Besides, the company also offers wide range of products such as liqueurs and wine, instant noodles, microorganism fertilizer. For fiscal year 2005, the company generated its turnover of VND 543 billion, an increase of VND 58 billion compared to fiscal 2004. The company paid down more than VND 30 billion of the principal outstanding on its debt facility and capital leases and contributed about VND 16 billion to the state budget in 2005. The monthly income of an employee in the company averaged over VND 2 million. For this coming Tet, bonuses will be not less than 2 month salaries per person in the company.
