Local branch of Bank for Agriculture & Rural Development records VND 4,430 billions in first half of 2005

(ĐN)- In the first half of this year, the total mobilized capital of the local branch of the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development has reached VND 4,430 billion, it was an increase of 19% against the end of last year and made up 95% compared with the year’s plan;

(ĐN)- In the first half of this year, the total mobilized capital of the local branch of the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development has reached VND 4,430 billion, it was an increase of 19% against the end of last year and made up 95% compared with the year’s plan; its total debit balance achieved to VND 3,510 billion, this raised to 3.9 % in comparison with the end of 2004 and accounted for 91% of the year’s plan. Besides, the branch also mobilized over US$ 20 million from peoples at the local level with the total debit balance of foreign currency up US$ 52 million.

 

Together with the increasing capital mobilization and loan stock, the branch applied Western Union Money Transfer and Quick Collect service effectively. Accordingly, in the first five months 2005, it has transferred 2,395 times with total amount up US$ 1.2 million. Furthermore, it installed and put 6 Automatic Teller Machines (ATM) into operation in some places around the province. It also released over 5,600 ATM cards to serve clients at other places: Trung Tam, Tam Phuoc, Nhon Trach, Bien Hoa Industrial zones, Trang Bom and Long Khanh.

 

From now to the end of this year, the capital mobilization will be intensified under many various forms such as: the clients will receive interest as soon as they deposit money to the bank and   enjoy drawing the winner with “AAA gold” prize. In the other hand, the branch is going to adjust interest rate suitable for capital supplying and demanding situation in the market. Moreover, it also offers other favorable conditions for the clients with its purpose of mobilizing effectively spare money from all levels of society. In 2005, the branch will hit its goal of increasing to 25 % the mobilized capital and 15 % total debit balance against 2004.
