Over the past few months, Dong Nai has faced an enormous workload. It has had to continue streamlining its organizational structure, improving the operational efficiency of the political system, and achieving socio-economic development, national defense and security, and Party-building objectives, while simultaneously addressing numerous outstanding issues and launching a series of key projects and construction works.
Against this backdrop, Party committees under the Dong Nai City Party Committee have demonstrated considerable determination, solidarity, and resolve, achieving notable results.
Figures reflect concerted efforts
Deputy Secretary of the Dong Nai City Party Committee and Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Ut said that, thanks to the efforts of Party committees and the political system, the close leadership and guidance of the Standing Committee and Standing Board of the City Party Committee, particularly the decisive direction of the Secretary of the City Party Committee, together with the administration of the City People's Committee, Dong Nai's economy maintained positive growth momentum in the first nine months of 2026, with its gross regional domestic product (GRDP) estimated to have increased by 10.01%.

Total state budget revenue in the first nine months of 2026 reached nearly VND80 trillion, equivalent to 80% of the assigned estimate. As of September 30, public investment disbursement exceeded VND18.6 trillion, or approximately 68.7% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister, surpassing the national average disbursement rate of 55.5%. Dong Nai ranked 11th among 34 provinces and cities nationwide in terms of public investment disbursement and fifth among the nine cities.
Local authorities have made significant contributions to these positive results. Nguyen The Phong, Member of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Chairman of the People's Council of Dai Phuoc Commune, said that Dai Phuoc is located near the eastern part of Ho Chi Minh City. To capitalize on its advantages, the Commune Party Committee has focused on leading the implementation of key tasks under the Action Program, including accelerating the progress of preparing zoning plans, developing modern and synchronized transport and urban infrastructure, and prioritizing stronger regional connectivity. The commune is also working toward developing a green, clean, and smart riverside urban area to improve residents' quality of life, create favorable conditions for investment attraction, unlock resources, and promote sustainable development.
The Party Committee and authorities of Dai Phuoc Commune have continued to exercise decisive leadership and direction over compensation and site clearance for key projects, helping accelerate their implementation in the locality. The commune has also strengthened leadership and direction in state budget management and administration, ensuring strict compliance with regulations. The commune Party Committee has directed the Commune People's Committee to implement coordinated measures to tap into revenue sources, strengthen budget revenue management, practice thrift, and combat wasteful budget spending. As of September 30, Dai Phuoc Commune's total state budget revenue had exceeded VND460.6 billion, equivalent to 120.6% of the assigned estimate.
Vien Hong Tien, Member of the City Party Committee and Secretary of the Party Committee of Chon Thanh Ward, reported that, under the Chon Thanh Ward Party Committee's decisive leadership, the ward had achieved several important targets for 2026. Specifically, both state budget revenue and public investment disbursement had reached 100% of their respective annual targets. The ward had also completed the handover of 100% of the required land for the Ho Chi Minh City–Thu Dau Mot–Chon Thanh Expressway project and 99% for the Gia Nghia (Dak Nong)–Chon Thanh (Dong Nai) section of the western North–South Expressway project.
All-out efforts urged to fulfill assigned tasks
Alongside their leadership and direction of economic development, Party committees have paid close attention to Party and government building; culture and social affairs; science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation; national defense and security; and the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and mass organizations. Positive results have been recorded across all fields.
Although Dong Nai's achievements over the first nine months of 2026 are highly commendable, a gap remains to be addressed in the fourth quarter as the city, driven by a strong ambition to reach new heights, strives to meet its targets of 11% GRDP growth and VND150 trillion in state budget revenue. Bridging this gap is also the most pressing task for the city's leadership, direction, and administration during the final three months of the year.
Speaking at a conference of the City Party Committee's Executive Board on October 2, Vu Hong Van, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Head of the City National Assembly Delegation, called on the entire political system to concentrate its utmost efforts on fulfilling the tasks set for 2026. He emphasized that every member of the City Party Committee's Executive Board, along with all Party committees, agencies, and units, must clearly identify the tasks to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2026, the results to be achieved, and the responsibilities for implementation. Difficult tasks must not be carried over to next year if they can still be resolved this year.
At the City Party Committee's Executive Board conference on October 2, Vu Hong Van, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Head of the City National Assembly Delegation, said that Dong Nai's socio-economic development achievements over the first nine months of 2026 provide a foundation for the city to continue striving to fulfill its annual targets.
The City Party Committee Secretary requested the Party Committee of the City People's Committee to lead the City People's Committee in directing an update of the growth scenario for the fourth quarter of 2026 and reviewing the performance of each sector, particularly the 11 sectors that have fallen short of the targets outlined in the scenario. The review must identify enterprises and projects capable of increasing output and generating additional value added within the year, as well as obstacles requiring resolution, the agencies responsible for addressing them, and specific deadlines for completing the necessary measures. He stressed that growth management must be based on actual output, production capacity, and value added, rather than merely reporting general percentage figures.
The City Party Committee Secretary also requested the City People's Committee to direct the Department of Finance to coordinate with tax and customs authorities and relevant agencies in conducting a comprehensive review of all revenue sources and categories. At the same time, the City People's Committee must direct each project investor and locality to establish a detailed implementation schedule for every project in the fourth quarter of 2026, clearly linking construction volumes, areas of land handed over, and disbursed capital to the individuals responsible. He called for intensified inspections of projects facing delays, requiring their heads to clarify the causes of the delays, directly address problems within their authority, and be committed to specific deadlines for corrective action. Difficulties must not be reported without accompanying proposed solutions, he stressed, reaffirming the determination to achieve 100% disbursement of the assigned public investment capital plan.
