Putting a service and tourism brand on the national and international tourism map needs more than the locality’s distinctive natural, cultural, and historical assets and the contributions of its people. It also requires substantial investment in a comprehensive tourism ecosystem with standout attractions, supported by a well-structured brand promotion and positioning strategy.
Dong Nai City's tourism appeal lies in its unique "green" destinations, including Cat Tien National Park, Bu Gia Map National Park, the Dong Nai River system, Tri An Lake, and Chua Chan Mountain; revolutionary historical sites, known as "red addresses," such as the Sac Forest, War Zone D, the Command Headquarters for the Liberation Army of South Vietnam (Ta Thiet Base), and Bom Bo Hamlet; and cultural attractions such as Tran Bien Temple of Literature, Hang Gon Megalithic Tomb, That Phu Ancient Temple, and Thien Hau Ancient Temple, along with distinctive festivals held throughout the year. These unique features represent tourism potential and competitive advantages that few other localities possess.
Thanks to the concerted efforts of the entire political system, particularly the tourism sector, the city's "smokeless industry" has recorded notable achievements in recent years, steadily establishing the Dong Nai brand on the national tourism map. In the first nine months of 2026 alone, Dong Nai welcomed more than 4.4 million visitors who came to experience its local tourism products and services.
As Dong Nai City continues to develop, its tourism sector holds tremendous potential for further growth. Under Resolution No. 10-NQ/TU, dated August 20, 2026, on developing tourism into a strong economic sector (referred to as Resolution No. 10), the Dong Nai City Party Committee’s Executive Board set a target of welcoming 11.5 million visitors by 2030. The Executive Board's strategic vision has been translated into action through seven coordinated groups of tasks and solutions outlined in the resolution, providing a guiding framework and opening up new opportunities for Dong Nai's tourism sector.
Clearly, positioning Dong Nai's tourism brand to compete with other tourism offerings in domestic and international markets requires the development of a modern, high-end, and professional tourism ecosystem that ensures maximum convenience for visitors while continuously preserving and promoting the destination's distinctive identity. Delivering memorable experiences through hospitality is essential to retaining visitors and attracting growing numbers of tourists from near and far to Dong Nai.
