Following the merger of Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc provinces, many cadres, civil servants, and public employees were required to relocate for work but have yet to secure stable housing. For those previously based in Binh Phuoc who are now working in Dong Nai City, long commutes or the need to rent accommodation have increased living expenses, while their families and children remain in their original locations. Although monthly income support policies have helped ease these difficulties, the need for housing within their financial means remains to be addressed to ensure long-term stability.

Against this backdrop, mobilizing investors to participate in social housing development is a practical approach, in line with the spirit of the Politburo’s Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW on private sector development and the Government’s Resolution No. 303/NQ-CP on assigning targets for social and rental housing development for 2026-2030.

Working alongside the city government, DonaCoop Infrastructure Investment JSC (DonaCoop) is implementing social housing projects covering a total area of more than 40 hectares, with more than 8,000 units aimed at meeting the housing needs of eligible officers and soldiers of the armed forces, cadres, civil servants, and public employees. Previously, DonaCoop began implementing the Long Hung social housing project, comprising 2,805 units and scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2027.

Construction quality, comprehensive infrastructure, affordable prices, and transparent approval processes based on eligibility criteria are requirements that must be met in every project. Through these efforts, the city's attention and the investor's partnership are translated into opportunities for homeownership for those serving the public, enabling them to care for their families and carry out their duties with peace of mind. Meeting the housing needs of this workforce today also helps build the resources and foundation for Dong Nai's sustainable development.
