Speaking at the event, Nguyen Hieu Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Dong Nai City Youth Union, said that the child protection, care, and education have consistently received considerable attention from all levels and sectors in recent years. In particular, maintaining the activities of the City Children's Council has helped create opportunities for children to express their opinions on issues affecting them.
Nguyen Hieu Trung expressed his hope that council members would fulfill their roles as representatives, confidently express their views, and convey the aspirations of children in their localities. Following the meeting, he encouraged them to continue serving as a bridge between children and Youth Unions and Young Pioneers’ organizations, while actively listening to and sharing children's thoughts and aspirations at schools and in their communities. At the same time, every child should become a smart internet user, capable of protecting themselves and spreading positivity to those around them.
The Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union called on the Dong Nai City Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization Council, the City Children's Council’s Advisory Board, and relevant units to continue creating favorable conditions for children to express their opinions in meaningful and age-appropriate ways. He stressed the importance of listening to and fully documenting children's thoughts, aspirations, and recommendations raised at the meeting, proactively engaging with them and providing feedback, and forwarding relevant proposals to responsible agencies and units for consideration and resolution. He also urged Youth Union and Young Pioneer Organization chapters at all levels to continue organizing more digital skills education programs, creative playgrounds, and technology-based experiential activities, enabling children to acquire new knowledge, improve their skills, and achieve comprehensive development.

Under the theme "Building a safe, friendly digital environment – Shaping future generations of citizens," council members shared situations they or their peers had encountered while using the internet and social media. They also identified skills they lacked and needed to acquire, along with appropriate forms of support. In addition, they proposed solutions to promote the effective use of technology in learning, establish rewarding online playgrounds, develop creative products, and spread positive actions throughout the community.
* Before the official opening of the second meeting, members of the City Children's Council attended a session during which Nguyen Thi Nhu Y, Member of the Dong Nai City Party Committee, Secretary of the Long Hung Ward Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Ward People's Council, and former deputy to the 14th and 15th Dong Nai National Assembly Delegations, shared her experiences as an elected representative. Her insights helped council members learn more about the National Assembly's role, the duties of National Assembly deputies, the responsibilities of elected representatives, and ways to translate real-life concerns into concrete feedback and proposals. This, in turn, helped the children prepare effectively for the third mock Children's National Assembly session in 2026.
