Speaking at the event, Phan The Cong, Deputy Secretary of the Dong Nai City Youth Union and Chairman of the Dong Nai City’s Vietnam Youth Federation, emphasized that science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, and the development of high-quality human resources have been identified as key drivers of rapid and sustainable national development. This orientation is reflected in resolutions on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, as well as on education and training development.

In particular, Politburo Resolution No. 16-NQ/TW on building and developing Dong Nai City to 2035, with a vision to 2065, emphasizes the task of developing high-quality human resources aligned with strategic industries and sectors, while promoting training, research, and technology transfer in key fields, including aviation, aerospace, logistics, digital technology, artificial intelligence, high-tech industries, and core engineering disciplines.

In line with these orientations and requirements, the City Youth Union and the City Students’ Association recognize that promoting scientific research among students not only contributes to improving academic quality and developing human resources but also creates opportunities for the younger generation to harness their intellectual potential and creativity and contribute to the city's development. Over the years, Youth Union and Students’ Association organizations across the city have organized programs and activities to promote scientific research and support students in their research efforts, including a scientific research camp.

The rapid development of AI is opening up significant new opportunities for students to access knowledge, develop innovative research methods, and improve research efficiency. To guide students in applying AI to scientific research, the City Youth Union and the City Students’ Association organized the talk show "Applying AI in Scientific Research" as part of this year's Scientific Research Camp. The event provided students with an opportunity to meet and exchange views with lecturers who have extensive experience in teaching and scientific research.

The Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union expressed his hope that students would make full use of the opportunity to listen attentively and gain valuable knowledge and insights from the speakers. He encouraged them to confidently ask questions, discuss issues they were still uncertain about, and share ideas they had been developing to receive feedback and guidance on turning them into scientific research projects. He also expressed his hope that, through the camp, students would continue to nurture their aspirations to excel, take the initiative in scientific research and innovation, apply their knowledge in practice, and turn their ideas and research projects into practical contributions, helping to build a civilized, modern Dong Nai City and an increasingly prosperous and strong nation.

During the event, students from universities and colleges across the city heard speakers share insights into the roles and responsibilities of students in scientific research, common challenges encountered during the research process, opportunities presented by AI, and methods for applying AI at different stages of scientific research.
