Mobilizing resources for education

Alongside resources from the state budget, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations have mobilized social resources to support disadvantaged students in attending school through scholarships, while renovating, upgrading, and supplementing essential facilities at schools.

These activities have contributed to the city's effective implementation of solutions to upgrade school facilities, particularly in areas facing significant difficulties and in border communes, providing teachers and students with better conditions for teaching and learning.

Helping students access technology

Since the beginning of 2026, the Dong Nai City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and its member organizations have mobilized various social resources to set up computer labs equipped with large numbers of computers and accompanying equipment, effectively meeting teaching and learning needs.

Notably, in early September 2026, two schools in the city's border areas, namely Dak Mai Secondary and High School in Bu Gia Map Commune and Loc Thinh Primary and Secondary School in Loc Thanh Commune, were equipped with two new computer labs. The City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee mobilized funding for the labs. Under the policy of promoting digital transformation and the application of artificial intelligence (AI), the addition of computer labs funded through socialized resources has helped create conditions for students to spend more time practicing on computers.

Similarly, at the Tan Mai Primary School branch campus in Tam Hiep Ward, a computer lab equipped with 32 new sets of computers, air conditioning, high-speed internet, and desks meeting primary school standards was handed over for use from the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year.

According to Le Thi Thanh Kieu, Principal of Tan Mai Primary School, resources for the new computer lab were mobilized by the Dong Nai City Union of Friendship Organizations and the Dong Nai City Vietnam–Korea Friendship Association, with funding donated by a foreign non-governmental organization. Valued at up to 312 million VND, the computer lab helps provide teachers and students with better conditions to improve their informatics skills.

Since 2025, the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the Dong Nai City Union of Friendship Organizations have mobilized social resources to support eight computer labs for schools in the area, including four schools in four border communes.

Vice Chairwoman of the Dong Nai City Union of Friendship Organizations Tran Thuy Tien said that, in the process of mobilizing and connecting with foreign non-governmental organizations, foreign associations, and foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises, the Dong Nai City Union of Friendship Organizations and its member friendship associations prioritize mobilizing support for practical needs such as facilities, teaching equipment, computers, school supplies, scholarships, daily necessities, and other conditions supporting students’ learning. These efforts have received continued support from partners and sponsors. In the near future, many projects and non-project assistance activities related to this field will continue to be implemented in the city.

Supporting students to attend school with peace of mind

In addition to helping teachers and students at many schools access technology, the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and its member organizations have also mobilized resources to help disadvantaged students attend school and ensure their housing, particularly in border communes.

Accordingly, in implementing the Politburo’s Conclusion Notice No. 81-TB/TW dated July 18, 2025, regarding the policy of investing in school construction for border communes; Government Resolution No. 298/NQ-CP dated September 26, 2025, issuing the Government's action plan to implement Conclusion Notice No. 81-TB/TW; and directives from the Central Government, the City Party Committee, and the City People's Committee, the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee’s Standing Board has promoted and mobilized agencies, units, businesses, organizations, and benefactors to participate in supporting schools and students in border communes. Since September 2026 alone, the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has mobilized more than 4.2 billion VND for this work.

Specifically, from the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year, the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee mobilized support for 11 kitchens worth more than 2.75 billion VND for schools in border areas. At the same time, 43,500 towels of various sizes, sponsored by the Korean Business Association in Vietnam and Songwol Vina Joint Stock Company and valued at nearly 1.5 billion VND, were distributed to students at schools in border areas.

According to Vu Ngoc Sinh, Principal of Dak Mai Secondary and High School, Dak Mai Secondary and High School is one of the schools that received support in the form of kitchens and towels mobilized by the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee. The support contributes to supplementing and improving facilities for providing boarding meals, thereby better supporting students, particularly those living far from school. It also contributes to implementing the policy of improving learning and living conditions for students in border areas.

In addition, the City Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations have mobilized direct support for students in difficult circumstances so they can attend school with peace of mind. For example, the Women's Union of Xuan Bac Commune is implementing the "Godmother" model, supporting eight orphans, seven of whom are currently attending school. The Youth Union of Long Hung Ward has coordinated efforts to mobilize and donate nearly 1,500 gifts and scholarships to students in difficult circumstances to help them continue their education.

The City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and its member organizations will continue to promote their role in raising awareness and mobilizing union members, associations, businesses, and benefactors to participate in supporting facilities, equipment, school supplies, and conditions for students' daily lives, especially in border communes in the city. The City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee hopes to continue receiving the attention and cooperation of organizations and individuals in the coming time.

In addition, since the beginning of September 2026, among the 121 families assisted with funding to build or repair houses, about 50% have members who are students. This has contributed to providing families with better conditions to care for and invest in their children's education.

K'Xuan's family, residing in Ta Lai Commune, received 40 million VND in support to repair their house, mobilized by the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee through the Dong Nai Fund for the Poor, along with additional support mobilized by the Ta Lai Commune Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee. In September 2026, the three-generation family moved into their sturdy house. K'Xuan said, "I have three grandchildren of school age. The sturdy house helps my family have a better place to live, allowing us to focus on working and taking care of the children's education."
