From holiday bonuses and gifts to sports activities and additional recreational spaces within enterprises, these initiatives not only bring joy to workers during the holiday but also help motivate them in work and production.
Diversifying forms of care
Among the policies drawing employees' attention during the National Day (September 2) holiday are bonuses and support provided by enterprises. Such policies not only offer material encouragement but also demonstrate enterprises' care and concern for their employees. At Chang Shin Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Tan Trieu Ward), for example, the enterprise provides a National Day bonus of VND 400,000 per person. The company currently employs approximately 42,000 workers, nearly 100% of whom are trade union members. The policy, therefore, makes a practical contribution to caring for employees' lives.
Expressing her excitement over the company's National Day bonus, Ha Thi Kim Thu, a worker at Chang Shin Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Tan Trieu Ward), said the bonus is of practical significance to employees, particularly at a time when living expenses remain a concern. "The bonus was given on the occasion of National Day, so we are very excited. With this extra money, employees can be more proactive in shopping, covering living expenses, or taking their families out for fun during the holiday," said Thu.
Similarly, Dong Phu Cuong Joint Stock Company (Thong Nhat Commune) paid National Day bonuses of VND 200,000 per person to more than 2,500 employees. Ngo Ngoc Thuan, Deputy Director of the company, said that bonuses and welfare benefits provided by the enterprise during holidays and Tet not only offer practical support to employees but also demonstrate the company's care and willingness to share. These benefits encourage workers to work with peace of mind, remain committed to the company, and stand alongside it.
TKG Taekwang Vina Joint Stock Company (Tran Bien Ward) has also announced National Day bonuses equivalent to one day's salary for more than 31,000 employees. In addition to the bonuses provided by the enterprise, the company's Trade Union also presented workers with many practical gifts, including shoe dryers, cooking oil, and milk.
During the National Day (September 2) holiday, attention from enterprises and trade unions is even more meaningful to workers who are working day and night in factories. Care policies, whether large or small, help bring employees greater joy, peace of mind, and motivation to continue standing alongside their enterprises and contributing to Dong Nai's socio-economic development.
Improving workers' spiritual lives
In addition to providing material support, many enterprises also focus on organizing cultural and sports activities to foster a sense of solidarity among workers. At Vedan Vietnam Enterprise Corp., Ltd. (Phuoc Thai Commune), the atmosphere celebrating National Day has become more vibrant with sports activities organized for staff and workers. Notably, the enterprise has inaugurated a system of pickleball courts, providing employees with additional venues for exercise and recreation after working hours.
Pham Trung Thuyen, Chairman of the Grassroots Trade Union of Vedan Vietnam Enterprise Corp., Ltd., said putting the pickleball court system into operation not only meets employees' needs for entertainment and recreation after work but also demonstrates the concern of the company's leadership and the Trade Union organization for the spiritual lives of staff, workers, and employees. This creates conditions for employees to maintain regular exercise, improve their health, and restore their work capacity, while strengthening cohesion and fostering a dynamic, healthy working environment.
The sports atmosphere is becoming one of the highlights of the series of activities celebrating National Day at enterprises in Dong Nai. Many enterprises organize exchanges and competitions in football, volleyball, pickleball, Chinese chess, and other sports, attracting large numbers of trade union members and employees to participate and cheer. These activities provide healthy and useful recreational opportunities, helping strengthen bonds among employees as well as between different departments within enterprises.
At Pou Sung Vietnam Co., Ltd. (An Vien Commune), the Grassroots Trade Union has just opened the 2nd Pou Sung Women's Volleyball Tournament, with 12 teams taking part. The lively matches provide female workers with opportunities to interact, improve their fitness, and contribute to a cheerful atmosphere within the enterprise. This is also one of the practical ways to build corporate culture and provide more comprehensive care for employees' lives.
In fact, as enterprises step up production and improve product quality, caring for employees' lives becomes even more important. A timely bonus, a gift for disadvantaged workers, or a sports facility within an enterprise can all serve as a source of encouragement, helping employees better appreciate the support and solidarity of their enterprises and trade union organizations.
