For many years, Le Xuan Hoa – a resident of Xuan Que Hamlet, Xuan Que Commune – has quietly set aside part of his family's income for charitable activities, helping people facing difficult circumstances.

From supporting home construction and presenting gifts to helping cover funeral expenses and repairing roads, his compassionate deeds have helped spread the spirit of mutual support throughout the community.
Sharing through simple acts
The “Great Solidarity” house for the family of Dang Thanh Hung in Song Nhan Hamlet, Xuan Que Commune, was completed and put into use more than 10 days ago. For Hung, his wife, and their children, the new house is not only a shelter from the elements but also a source of joy and a foundation for the family to settle down and stabilize their lives.
Hung said, "Our family faced housing difficulties. Although my parents gave us a piece of land, our limited economic conditions prevented us from building a sturdy house. After learning about our situation, Le Xuan Hoa provided more than 100 million VND and, with support from the local authorities, helped us build the new home we had hoped for. Having a decent house makes our family very happy. This is the motivation for us to work hard and improve our lives. My family is very grateful to the local agencies, sectors, mass organizations, and benefactors."
For Hoa, the joy perhaps lies not in building a house or donating money, but in seeing someone in need receive support and gain a greater sense of security in life.
Hoa recalled that in 1977, his parents moved from a poor rural area in Thua Thien-Hue Province, now Hue City, to Xuan Que Commune, Dong Nai, to start a new life. He was born a year later and has remained attached to this land ever since. His family has worked in many fields, from gardening, farming, and animal husbandry to trading. The family's economic situation gradually stabilized, and his children received a good education and found employment.
As his family's life gradually became more prosperous, Hoa began thinking about sharing with those still in need. Initially, his family's charitable activities were simple, consisting of donations of rice, instant noodles, fish sauce, and soy sauce to poor households in the area. Since 2020, favorable business conditions and higher income have enabled Hoa to contribute more to social welfare activities.
To date, Hoa has supported the construction and repair of 18 charity houses and “Great Solidarity” houses for poor households in the commune, with a total value of more than 1 billion VND. Notably, all these contributions have come from his family's income, without his launching any campaigns or appeals for donations. For him, charitable work must first come from the heart and a desire to share the difficulties of those less fortunate than himself.
In 2025, Le Xuan Hoa received a "Good People, Good Deeds" certificate of merit from the People's Committee of Dong Nai Province (now Dong Nai City). Recently, he earned the trust of local leaders and residents and was elected Standing Member of the Xuan Que Commune Red Cross Society. In his new position, he continues to contribute his efforts to social welfare activities.
Spreading compassion
In addition to providing housing support, Hoa frequently presents rice and essential goods to households facing difficult circumstances during holidays, Tet, or whenever the locality launches a campaign. From July 2025 to date, he has provided more than 600 gift packages with a total value of more than 240 million VND. Furthermore, when families have lost a loved one but lacked the means to cover funeral costs, he has also provided support for burial expenses totaling more than 200 million VND. Such timely assistance has helped these families ease their burdens during times of bereavement.
Hoa's sense of responsibility toward the community is also reflected in actions closely connected with people's daily lives. Specifically, after long periods of use, sections of two roads – from Thanh Binh Hamlet in Xuan Que Commune to Dau Giay Ward, and from Xuan Que Hamlet in Xuan Que Commune to Cam My Commune – had deteriorated. Hoa provided 40 million VND for repairs. As a result, residents can now travel more conveniently and safely.
Truong Quang Khanh, a resident of Xuan Que Commune, said, "Hoa's practical actions have received strong approval from local residents because the roads were repaired at the right time, contributing to ensuring traffic safety, especially for those who travel frequently."
Beyond helping people in his commune, Hoa is also ready to assist people in areas affected by natural disasters. Responding to an appeal from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Xuan Que Commune, at the end of 2025, he donated 50 gift packages, more than 1,000 new shirts, and many essential goods, with a total value of more than 125 million VND, to people affected by floods in Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong provinces. During the city's special 500-day-and-night emulation campaign, he continued to donate hundreds of millions of VND to repair and build “Great Solidarity” houses, helping households facing difficulties secure stable accommodation.
Chairwoman of the Xuan Que Commune Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Bui Thi Hai Ly said, "Le Xuan Hoa is an exemplary figure of compassion, responsibility, and kindness toward the community. Over the years, he has consistently worked alongside the local Party committee, authorities, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front in caring for the poor and households in difficult circumstances. Hoa's compassionate deeds have helped spread the spirit of mutual support, while his collaboration with the Vietnam Fatherland Front has contributed to social welfare efforts, improved local people's well-being, and helped make Xuan Que Commune an increasingly caring and compassionate community."
For Hoa, sharing is simply a way for people to give one another a little more faith in life. When he is in a better position, he wants to help those still facing difficulties through practical actions, from helping build a home and giving a gift to providing support in times of hardship. Such acts not only help ease recipients' immediate difficulties but also contribute to spreading the spirit of mutual support and supporting local social welfare efforts, giving people in difficult circumstances greater support to overcome hardship and improve their lives.
