Dong Nai sends six delegations for gratitude visits

On July 19, Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Department of Home Affairs Doan Thi Thu Thuy announced that, in commemoration of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947–2026), Dong Nai City is carrying out a range of gratitude activities for people with meritorious contributions to the revolution and policy beneficiary families.

Accordingly, the City Party Committee, the People's Council, the People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai City will send six delegations led by city leaders to visit, present gifts to, and extend encouragement to 34 exemplary people with meritorious contributions to the revolution. The recipients include Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, veteran revolutionaries, families of severely wounded soldiers, and families of martyrs. Each gift package is worth VND3 million, comprising VND2 million in cash and a gift.

The visits and gift presentations for policy beneficiary families and people with meritorious contributions to the revolution are conducted from July 20 to July 27.

According to Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Department of Home Affairs Doan Thi Thu Thuy, the visits and gift presentations reflect the Party, the State, and local authorities' profound gratitude and appreciation for the sacrifices and contributions made by policy beneficiary families and people with meritorious contributions to the revolution in the cause of national independence and freedom, while upholding the nation's tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source." She added that the visits also enable city leaders to directly assess the living conditions of revolutionary contributors, thereby providing timely directions to help improve their quality of life.
