The Dong Nai City Labor Federation (DNLF) on July 19 held the first commendation ceremony 2026 to honor 471 children of civil servants and employees for their outstanding academic results and exemplary conduct. The event, held at the Binh Phuoc ward Multi-purpose Gymnasium, also featured the “Health and Shopping Festive Day” program for trade union members and disadvantaged workers in northern Dong Nai city.
Among those attending were Nguyen Minh Hoi, Member of the City Party Committee (CPC)’s Standing Board and Head of the CPC's Commission for Internal Affairs; Le Thi Thai, Member of the CPC and Deputy Head of the CPC's Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization; Nguyen Quoc Dung, Member of the CPC, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Dong Nai City and President of the DNLF; along with representatives of municipal departments, agencies, mass organizations, Binh Phuoc ward authorities, sponsors, and a large number of civil servants’ and employees’ children.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai VFF Committee and President of the DNLF Nguyen Quoc Dung congratulated and commended the students on their achievements, saying their accomplishments were a source of pride not only for the students themselves, but also for their families, schools and the trade union organization.
He praised the students as role models in Dong Nai's "Academic Excellence and Good Conduct" movement and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence, pursue lifelong learning, foster creativity and contribute to society in the future.

This year, the DNLF recognized 7,513 children of trade union members, civil servants and laborers across the city for outstanding academic performance and personal development under the "Academic Excellence and Good Conduct" movement.
At the event, 471 students from Northern Dong Nai were honored. Of these, 395 were recognized for Outstanding Achievement, while 76 received Special Recognition for Outstanding Achievement.
The organizing committee also presented 30 scholarships funded by the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, along with 50 English learning pens to children of disadvantaged trade union members, providing additional support for their studies.

As part of the program, trade union members shopped at 14 welfare booths offering discounted products and promotional offers. They also received free general health check-ups, specialized health consultations for female workers, and complimentary screening tests for 25 blood and kidney-related diseases.

The activities helped promote a culture of learning, foster happy families and contribute to Dong Nai City's goal of developing a high-quality workforce for the new era. They also reflected the trade union's continued commitment to improving welfare for its members while building a more caring, practical and reliable organization for workers.
