Dong Nai City’s leadership delegation visits and presents gifts to heroic Vietnamese mothers

On July 23, a delegation from the Dong Nai City Party Committee (CPC), People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee visited and presented gifts to encourage heroic Vietnamese mothers in the communes of Tan Tien, Loc Tan, and Loc Hung on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947–2026). The delegation was led by Huynh Thi Hang, Deputy Secretary of the CPC and Chairwoman of the City VFF Committee.

The delegation included Nguyen Thi Hong Trang, Member of the CPC and Permanent Deputy Head of the CPC’s Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization; Nguyen Minh Kien, Member of the CPC, Vice Chairman of the City VFF Committee and Secretary of the City Youth Union; Do Van Manh, Member of the CPC and Permanent Deputy Head of the CPC’s Internal Affairs Commission; along with representatives of relevant agencies, units, and localities.

During the visit, the delegation extended best wishes and presented gifts to Heroic Vietnamese Mother Bui Thi Nam, 101, residing in Loc Tam Hamlet, Loc Tan Commune. Her two sons, martyrs Trinh Van Ngheu and Trinh Van Huong, sacrificed their lives during the resistance war to defend the Fatherland. The delegation also visited and presented gifts to Heroic Vietnamese Mother Kha Thi Yen, 113, residing in Hamlet 8, Tan Tien Commune. Her husband and son were martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the resistance war against U.S. imperialists and the war to defend the country's southwestern border.

Heroic Vietnamese Mother Tran Thi Mai, 90, residing in Loc Hung Commune, lost her husband, martyr Nguyen Van Sam, and her son, martyr Nguyen Thanh Nam, who both heroically sacrificed their lives during the resistance war against U.S. imperialists.

At each location, on behalf of the delegation, Huynh Thi Hang expressed profound gratitude for the sacrifices and contributions made by the heroic Vietnamese mothers to the Fatherland. She also wished them good health and expressed the hope that they would continue to enjoy happy and healthy lives and serve as exemplary role models for their descendants and younger generations.

Huynh Thi Hang affirmed that the Party, the State, the VFF, and people from all walks of life always honor and express gratitude for the tremendous contributions made by people with meritorious services, heroic martyrs, and heroic Vietnamese mothers to the homeland and the country, reflecting the nation's traditional moral principle of "When drinking water, remember its source."

On the occasion, Huynh Thi Hang presented gifts from the Dong Nai CPC, the City People's Council, the City People's Committee, and the City VFF Committee to the heroic Vietnamese mothers. Each gift was valued at VND3 million.
