From government agencies and administrative units to enterprises, thousands of families of workers and public employees have actively responded to the movement to build cultural families, raise well-behaved and high-achieving children, maintain family happiness, and fulfill their responsibilities to the community.

Strengthening family bonds

Recently, 56 exemplary families of workers and public employees for the 2021-2026 period in Dong Nai City were commended and honored by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Dong Nai Labor Federation. Each family represents a compelling story of resilience, unity, and responsibility in both work and life. Despite their different circumstances, they all share common values of love, understanding, and steadfast companionship in building joyful homes.

A notable example is the family of Duong Cong Khue, an employee of Global Powersports Manufacturing Incorporation (Trang Bom Ward), and Le Thi Tuyet, an employee of Unipax Company Limited (Long Binh Ward). Despite their busy work schedules, they consistently demonstrate love, understanding, and mutual support in their daily lives. Their companionship, respect, and empathy have enabled them to build a harmonious and happy home, serving as a role model of a civilized and progressive family.

“The families honored today are vivid evidence of the fine values of Vietnamese families in the new era. They serve as active role models, helping spread the spirit of love and responsibility while promoting prosperous, progressive, happy, and sustainable families.”

Sharing the key to maintaining family happiness, Le Thi Tuyet said that every family faces its own difficulties and pressures, particularly worker couples who must balance work and family life. However, she emphasized that the most important factor in building a happy family is for family members to love, listen to, and respect one another.

“Husbands and wives should regularly share both the joys and challenges of life and discuss together how to resolve any issues that arise. Empathy and companionship can help us overcome all difficulties. Family is the place we return to and the source of motivation that encourages us to strive harder in both our work and our lives,” said Tuyet.

The family of Ung Nho Dung, Assistant Director of the D2 Quality Assurance Department, and Pham Thi Huong Quan, Head of the Seasoning Product Research and Development Department at Vedan Viet Nam Enterprise Corporation Limited (Phuoc Thai Commune), is also a model of a happy family. They have promoted the image of a modern family of workers and public employees by effectively balancing their professional responsibilities with the care and education of their children. At work, they demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility and have contributed numerous initiatives to improve product quality and ensure food safety for the company.

Among the exemplary families honored were Tran Quang Duy, Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of Hoang Gia Hung Trading Production Company Limited (Bien Hoa Ward), and his wife. They have built and maintained family happiness through understanding, sharing, and a strong sense of responsibility among family members. According to Duy, family meals, conversations after work, and moments when the entire family gathers together provide an essential foundation for strengthening affection and fostering lasting bonds.

Promoting family values

The families honored on this occasion are outstanding representatives of thousands of workers’ and public employees’ families who are nurturing prosperous and happy lives every day. Some are families in which both husband and wife are production workers who still devote time each day to caring for and educating their children while building a civilized family lifestyle. Others include exemplary trade union officials, Party members, and employees who not only perform their professional duties effectively but also actively participate in emulation movements, contributing to strengthening their agencies, units, enterprises, and the Trade Union organization.

Through their efforts and dedication to building happy homes, these families have become not only outstanding examples in the movement to build happy families among workers and public employees but also role models that embody the values of love, sharing, and responsibility. Their stories illustrate that family happiness stems from understanding, respect, and unwavering companionship throughout life's journey, rather than grand things.

Nguyen Quoc Dung, Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and Chairman of the Dong Nai Labor Federation, said that the achievements in building families of workers and public employees across the city have been made possible through the dedication and cooperation of each trade union member and employee. As a result, the fine values of Vietnamese families continue to be preserved and promoted. In the coming period, trade unions at all levels will step up communications to raise awareness of the role of the family, continue to care for and protect the legitimate rights and interests of union members and employees, and identify, commend, and replicate exemplary models and outstanding families to create a broad social impact.

Speaking at the conference commending exemplary families of workers and public employees for the 2021-2026 period, Ton Ngoc Hanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairwoman of the City People's Council, emphasized that over the past five years, the city's workers and public employees have consistently demonstrated a spirit of overcoming difficulties, diligence, and creativity in labor, production, and work. Behind every project, technical improvement initiative, and outstanding achievement contributing to the city's socio-economic development are the quiet sacrifices, mutual support, and unity of each family. She affirmed that the family is truly a strong source of spiritual support and a safe harbor that enables employees to work with confidence.

Ton Ngoc Hanh expressed her hope that the honored families would continue to preserve and promote these fine values, serving as key contributors and exemplary models in their residential communities and workplaces while spreading the spirit of love and responsibility. She also encouraged them to actively respond to and successfully carry out the special 500-day-and-night emulation campaign launched by the City Party Committee’s Standing Board, contributing to the development of an increasingly civilized, modern, and happy Dong Nai City.
