Powering Dong Nai's rise

Those who have lived and worked in Dong Nai over the past decade or two can clearly see the locality's remarkable transformation, particularly following its merger with Binh Phuoc province to form the new Dong Nai province and its official elevation to Vietnam's seventh city on April 30, 2026.

Driving along the modern Bien Hoa–Vung Tau Expressway, the third expressway running through Dong Nai, offers a firsthand view of the city's rapid transformation. Newly opened interchanges are strengthening regional connectivity and linking key transport corridors, making Dong Nai's development increasingly visible. In just a few months, Long Thanh International Airport will begin commercial operations, opening a new international gateway for the city. Together, these milestones are reshaping Dong Nai into one of Vietnam's most dynamic and globally connected urban centers.

However, Dong Nai's progress is reflected not only in soaring buildings, long runways and expansive boulevards. Equally important are its investments in culture, education, healthcare and social development. School construction projects, particularly in border communes, are gathering pace, while educational opportunities continue to expand. Meanwhile, the cultural heritage of ethnic minority communities is being carefully preserved and promoted. Perhaps nothing illustrates this vision better than the sight of residents exercising each morning in clean, well-maintained public spaces while enjoying the cool breeze from the Dong Nai River. These everyday scenes reflect the city's determination to become a truly livable place.

These are tangible changes that every resident can experience firsthand. Every project and every piece of infrastructure built today reflects not only economic progress but also the close alignment between the Party's policies and the people's aspirations, with the ultimate goal of improving living standards, bringing happiness, greater prosperity and creating more opportunities for all.

Across this dynamic and promising city, many other strategic projects are also moving ahead under the spirit of "overcoming sunshine and rain alike" as part of the special 500-day-and-night emulation campaign, "Solidarity – Discipline – Efficiency – Breakthroughs for a civilized and modern Dong Nai," which will continue through 2030 to sustain development momentum. As Dong Nai enters a new stage of development, every resident has a role to play in shaping the city's today and future. Ultimately, it is the responsibility, commitment and aspiration to contribute shared by every citizen that will serve as a powerful driving force for Dong Nai’s bold rise into a new era.
