Reporting at the meeting, the leadership of Long Phuoc commune said that the locality has basically achieved the targets set out in the resolution, with six of the 34 targets exceeded and 14 achieved.

Economically, the total budget revenue of Long Phuoc commune is estimated to reach nearly VND394 billion by the end of June, equivalent to 79% of the estimate assigned by the city and the commune People's Council. Of this amount, domestic revenue reached more than 88% of the assigned estimate. Total local budget expenditure is estimated at nearly VND84 billion, achieving more than 22% of the plan. The locality has also coordinated effectively with relevant units to carry out compensation and site clearance for key projects in the area. In addition, Long Phuoc commune has performed well in the fields of culture and society, as well as national defense and security.

Despite these achievements, Long Phuoc commune continues to face several difficulties and obstacles in socio-economic development. In particular, the disbursement rate of public investment capital remains low, because projects in the areas following the administrative merger are primarily new investments, and the preparation process has been lengthy.

During the remaining six months of 2026, Long Phuoc commune will continue striving to achieve and exceed the targets set out in the resolution. The commune will implement solutions to promote economic restructuring toward industry and construction, services and trade, and high-tech agricultural development. It will also accelerate the development of key service sectors such as commerce and logistics, while speeding up project implementation and the disbursement of public investment capital.

At the meeting, Long Phuoc commune also proposed several issues to the City Party Committee and the City People's Committee to support socio-economic development in the coming period. Among them, the locality requested that the Department of Finance consider providing financial support to upgrade and expand the Long Phuoc–Bau Can Road and the Long Phuoc–Phuoc Thai Road. It also proposed allocating funds for compensation, site clearance, and construction of the Long Phuoc–Phuoc Thai Road in accordance with the plan, as these projects require substantial investment and the commune People's Committee cannot secure sufficient funding for implementation.

Speaking at the meeting, Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, noted that despite many challenges, particularly the pressure of rapid urbanization, the need to adapt to the two-tier local government model, and an increasing workload, the Party Committee, government, and people of Long Phuoc commune have remained united, made sustained efforts, and achieved many positive results across various fields. Party building and the development of the political system continue to receive priority. The organizational apparatus following the restructuring has gradually stabilized, ensuring smooth direction and administration.

The locality has made considerable efforts in land management, construction order management, technical infrastructure investment, administrative reform, and the settlement of administrative procedures for people and businesses. Social welfare, care for policy beneficiary families and poor households, education, and health care have continued to receive priority.

At the same time, Vo Tan Duc requested the Long Phuoc commune Party Committee to focus on several key tasks in the coming period, including continuing to build a clean and strong Party Committee, effectively tapping into the commune's development potential, addressing infrastructure bottlenecks, strengthening land, planning, and construction management, and maintaining national defense, security, and social stability.

"Long Phuoc holds a particularly important position in the city's southeastern development space, located along the corridor connecting strategic transport routes such as National Highway 51 and the Phuoc An Port area. The locality needs to proactively review its land resources and shape its space for industry, services, logistics, and urban development in a methodical, synchronized, and long-term manner," emphasized Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee.
