On June 23, in Dinh Quan commune, the Dong Nai Department of Agriculture and Environment held a conference to connect stakeholders to build and develop concentrated raw material areas and promote the consumption of agricultural products in 2026.

More than 100 delegates, including representatives of local authorities, cooperatives, cooperative groups, businesses, and outstanding farmers from the communes of Dinh Quan, Phu Vinh, La Nga, and Thanh Son, attended the event.

At the conference, participants learned about Dong Nai’s agricultural development potential, policies supporting production linkages, and guidelines on establishing and managing planting area and packing facility codes for export purposes. Many businesses also shared their procurement demands for agricultural products, the supply of agricultural inputs, and cooperation models with farmers and cooperatives.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment reported that Dong Nai currently has about 1 million hectares of agricultural land, accounting for nearly 79% of its natural area. Several key crops are cultivated on a large scale, including rubber, cashew, bananas, and durian. The city now has 76 packing facilities granted export codes and 207 planting area codes covering more than 14,500 hectares, eligible for export to markets such as China, the United States, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. However, agricultural production still faces several challenges, including scattered raw material areas, small-scale production, limited post-harvest processing and preservation technologies, and weak value chain linkages.

Through the conference, Dong Nai’s agricultural sector aims to further promote concentrated, large-scale production, strengthen value chain linkages from production to consumption, and develop traceable, standardized raw material areas that meet the requirements of domestic and international markets.

Delegates also agreed on a range of solutions to expand consumption markets, improve agricultural product quality, develop concentrated raw material areas, and promote deep processing to increase product value.

On this occasion, five organizations, individuals, and businesses signed cooperation agreements on the production and purchase of green-skin pomelos and durians, as well as the supply of agricultural inputs, thereby contributing to the development of sustainable production-to-consumption linkage chains in the area.
