Accordingly, grassroots TUs have coordinated with enterprises to organize various cultural, artistic, and sports activities, life-skills classes, and summer programs for children. Many units have also provided financial support, scholarships, and gifts to students from disadvantaged backgrounds and those with outstanding academic achievements.
Meaningful activities for employees’ children
Recently, the grassroots TU of Freewell (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. in Dong Phu ward held a drowning-prevention skills training course for the children of TU members and employees of the company. During the program, the children were provided with basic knowledge of drowning prevention, skills for handling water-related incidents, self-rescue techniques, and safety measures for recreational activities and summer swimming.
Nguyen Mong Hoang, Chairman of the company’s grassroots TU, said the union organizes drowning-prevention and water-safety training courses every year to provide meaningful activities and essential skills for employees’ children during the summer break. The program has received strong support and participation from both parents and students. Through the program, children gain basic knowledge of water safety and learn to identify risks that may lead to drowning accidents.
On this occasion, the grassroots TU of Freewell (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. also presented meaningful gifts to the children of TU members and employees facing difficult circumstances, encouraging them to continue striving in their studies and daily lives.
“The company’s grassroots TU hopes to join hands with families and society in creating a safe and healthy environment for the children of TU members and employees, thereby contributing to better care for the material and spiritual well-being of employees and their families,” said Hoang.
At many enterprises in the area, grassroots TUs have also proactively organized a range of recreational, entertainment, and meaningful experiential activities for the children of workers and employees during the summer. These programs not only create healthy playgrounds and give children more opportunities to interact and learn but also demonstrate the TUs’ practical attention to and care for the spiritual well-being of TU members and employees' families.
A typical example is the grassroots TU of Tokin Electronics (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. in Long Binh ward, which has consistently paid special attention to employees’ children through a range of meaningful annual activities. During the summer, the union has created opportunities for children to visit the factory and participate in activities such as painting statues, drawing, playing group games, watching artistic performances, interacting with clowns, and receiving meaningful gifts. The cheerful and lively atmosphere of the program has given children relaxing and beneficial moments after a school year, while also helping create a safe, healthy, and memorable summer.
Caring for and protecting the children of TU members and employees is one of the key tasks of the TU organization. TUs at all levels in Dong Nai will continue to implement programs to reward, support, and care for children, especially workers’ children facing difficult circumstances, thereby contributing to a safe and healthy living environment and favorable conditions for their comprehensive development.

Many practical activities
According to the Dong Nai Labor Federation, during the Action Month for Children and the 2026 summer holiday, it directed grassroots TUs to step up efforts to care for, protect, and educate children, especially workers’ children. Activities have been organized in diverse forms suited to the actual conditions of each locality and enterprise, helping provide children with a healthy environment for activities and keeping them away from the risks of accidents, injuries, drowning, and social evils. In addition, grassroots TUs have organized gatherings, gift presentations, and commendation programs for workers’ children with outstanding academic achievements.
At Chang Shin Dong Nai Co., Ltd. in Tan Phu ward, the grassroots TU recently honored 729 children of TU members and employees under the “Good Students – Good Citizens” program for the third time in 2026. These students achieved outstanding results in study and personal development, actively participated in social activities, and served as exemplary role models in overcoming difficulties, maintaining good conduct, and striving for progress.
Attending the event, Bui Thi Bich Thuy, Vice Chairwoman of the Dong Nai Labor Federation, acknowledged and commended the students' efforts, as well as the care and support provided by parents who are TU members and employees. She affirmed that the practical activities organized by TUs not only contribute to the spiritual well-being of employees’ children but also demonstrate the TUs’ support for workers, helping them feel secure in their jobs and remain committed to their enterprises over the long term.
TUs across the city are currently compiling lists to continue honoring workers’ children who achieved high academic results in the past school year. This serves as a significant source of encouragement for the children to continue striving in their studies and lives, while helping promote the tradition of valuing education, building happy and progressive families, and contributing positively to the sustainable development of enterprises and localities.
