On June 24, the Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology organized a training workshop on product and goods traceability in 2026 for representatives of departments, agencies, People's Committees of communes and wards, businesses, cooperatives, OCOP entities (One Commune One Product Program), and production and business establishments in the city.

At the workshop, participants received guidance and updates from experts on product traceability in the context of digital transformation and international integration. The program also provided information on newly issued legal regulations and policy frameworks related to traceability. In addition, attendees were introduced to methods for identifying compliant traceability systems and distinguishing them from non-compliant models currently available in the market. Experts also provided instructions on establishing and implementing traceability systems in accordance with relevant standards and regulations, along with demonstrations of practical traceability processes.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology Trinh Thi Hoa emphasized that the workshop aimed to disseminate legal regulations concerning traceability, update participants on domestic and international development trends, and provide guidance on correctly identifying traceability systems in accordance with regulatory requirements. The training also served as a platform for discussion and hands-on practice related to the development, implementation, and management of product and goods traceability systems.

In the coming period, the Department of Science and Technology will continue advising city authorities on the development and operation of a product and goods traceability information system. The department will gradually standardize data, support businesses, cooperatives, and production and business establishments in joining the system, and ensure connectivity and data-sharing capabilities with the National Product and Goods Traceability Portal in accordance with government regulations.
