On June 11, the Dong Nai City People's Council completed the agenda of its 2nd session (special session) for the 2026-2031 term. The event took place under the chair of Ton Ngoc Hanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee (CPC), and Chairwoman of the City People's Council; Dang Minh Nguyet, Member of the CPC’s Standing Board and Standing Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Council; and Tran Van Mi, Member of the CPC and Vice Chairman of the City People's Council.
Also attending the session were Nguyen Van Ut, Deputy Secretary of the CPC and Chairman of the City People's Committee; Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Secretary of the CPC; and Thai Bao, Deputy Secretary of the CPC and Head of the Organization Commission of the CPC.

At the session, delegates of the City People's Council voted to adopt eight resolutions, including the list of projects requiring land acquisition in 2026 (fourth supplement) for Dong Nai City; the list of six land plots designated for land-use-rights auctions in 2026; adjustments to the investment policy for the Cat Lai and Long Hung bridge projects under the public-private partnership model; the addition of key projects to Dong Nai City's 2026 public investment plan; consideration of the list of key projects proposed for capital allocation under Dong Nai City's 2026-2030 medium-term public investment plan; the repeal of Resolution No. 02/2025/NQ-HDND, dated July 8, 2025, of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Council on regulations governing the authority to approve tasks and cost estimates for the procurement, repair, renovation, and upgrading of assets and equipment, as well as the repair, renovation, upgrading, expansion, and new construction of project components within invested construction projects, and the leasing of goods and services by agencies and units using regular state budget expenditures under the management of Dong Nai province (now Dong Nai City); and the provisions on specific land-rent exemption levels for facilities implementing socialization in the fields of education, vocational training, health, culture, sports, and the environment in Dong Nai City.

In her closing remarks, Ton Ngoc Hanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the CPC, and Chairwoman of the City People's Council, said that within a short period and with a spirit of urgency and seriousness, the City People's Council had adopted eight important resolutions on socio-economic development management with broad consensus among delegates.
Emphasizing that Dong Nai City is facing new conditions, circumstances, and development requirements, Ton Ngoc Hanh noted that there would be additional new guidelines in management to advance Dong Nai City's development in the coming period. Therefore, the participation of the City People's Council is essential in perfecting institutions and regulations.
In particular, to fulfill tasks during the 500-day-and-night peak emulation period under the theme "Unity - Discipline - Efficiency - Breakthrough," with a focus on delivering concrete results, the requirements for timely perfection of institutions and regulations related to socio-economic development management are considerable. Consequently, expectations for each People's Council delegate in accompanying the implementation of these resolutions are very high.

Regarding the resolutions adopted at the session, Ton Ngoc Hanh requested the City People's Committee to implement them effectively and ensure the required progress. At the same time, she called on the committee to coordinate with the municipal Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to strengthen communication to build public consensus.
