Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tu Diep Cong Thanh, Director of the Center for Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer (IPTC), Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City:

Promoting an innovative startup ecosystem

I believe that when it becomes a centrally governed city, Dong Nai will create a completely new development space for the locality. This will enable Dong Nai to be proactive in policy planning, investment, and implementation of development programs in the area. At the same time, the strategic role of the locality will be elevated, and that its extensive regional linkages will help expand the development space and strongly attract high-quality resources.

Regarding mechanisms and policies, when it becomes a centrally governed city, Dong Nai will have more conditions to implement flexible pilot models such as technology sandboxes, incentives for innovative businesses, or the development of venture capital funds... This will help create a favorable environment for testing new ideas, accepting controlled risks, thereby strongly promoting the startup and innovation ecosystem in the locality.

Nguyen Xuan Tung, a young person in Xuan Loc commune:

Expectations for a modern, dynamic urban area

When I learned that Dong Nai would become a Centrally governed city, I was very happy and excited. As a union member, and like many other young people of the province, I hope that Dong Nai in the future will become a modern, dynamic urban area with a synchronous infrastructure system, convenient transportation, and effective connections with key economic regions. Economic development will lead to many high-quality job opportunities, helping the young generation to establish careers, start business, and develop right in their hometown.

I hope that Dong Nai City in the future will focus on developing young human resources, creating a favorable environment for young people to study, create, access science and technology, and digital transformation. Creative spaces, along with cultural and sports activities will be invested in, contributing to improving the spiritual life of the people. In addition, I hope that Dong Nai will develop in a sustainable, green, clean, and beautiful direction, associated with environmental protection and preservation of local cultural identity.

Given these expectations, I realize that I need to make more efforts in studying, training, raising a sense of responsibility, striving to complete all tasks well, and being ready to contribute my youth to the process of building and developing Dong Nai to be increasingly civilized and modern.

Nguyen Thi Mai, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Xuan Loc commune:

Excited and proud of Dong Nai’s continued development

I am very excited and proud as Dong Nai continues to develop. I look forward to the strong development journey of the province in the future, as it gradually transforms into a green, prosperous, civilized, modern, dynamic, and livable city, joining the whole country in firmly entering a new era of development.

We believe that with the correct and consistent orientation of the entire political system and public consensus, the province will continuously innovate in infrastructure, economy, and quality of life. In this development flow, Xuan Loc commune is facing a great opportunity to transform into a civilized and beautiful ward, with an increasingly complete urban system, people's lives are enhanced both materially and spiritually. Cadres and members of the Women's Union of the commune are confident and proud to accompany this process, contributing to building the image of modern, confident, creative, and responsible women.

We eagerly await the future - when our homeland will flourish, and development opportunities will be widely open to all people, especially women and children. With faith and determination, we will continue to strive and actively contribute to sustainable development, bringing the commune closer to the goal of becoming a dynamic, modern, and comprehensively developed ward within the future city.

San Thi Ngoc Thuy, specialist at the Economic Division of Bau Ham commune People's Committee:

Unlocking agricultural potential

When it becomes a city, Dong Nai's infrastructure will certainly be invested in more strongly. Along with the development of large economic zones, industry, expressways, seaports, and airports, the agricultural and rural areas will also have opportunities to thrive.

Besides industrial development, Dong Nai province in general, and Bau Ham commune in particular, is also a place boasting strong growth in the agricultural sector. Many types of Dong Nai fruits are exported to countries around the world, creating opportunities for farmers to thrive. Under these conditions, we hope that the development policies of Dong Nai City in the future will continue to receive more attention, creating conditions to exploit the strengths of the local agricultural sector.

The expectation of people in rural areas is that infrastructure for transport and electricity serving agricultural production will be invested in, thereby making agricultural product transportation and travel more convenient; at the same time, there will be financial policies and preferential loans to help people and businesses increase investment, making the local economy prosperous and gradually catching up with the province's urban development pace.

Nguyen Thi Hue, specialist at the Department of Construction:

Toward civilized, modern, and livable city

When Dong Nai becomes a centrally governed city, it will create a superior institutional foundation, allowing the locality to be more proactive in mobilizing, allocating, and effectively using development resources, especially special mechanisms and policies on investment, finance, land, and infrastructure. At that time, Dong Nai will have more conditions to make strong breakthroughs, especially in infrastructure investment and urban development. This is what I feel very proud and hopeful about.

I believe Dong Nai will have all conditions and foundations needed to develop urban areas in a green, smart, modern, and multi-purpose direction, associated with transit-oriented development (TOD), ensuring synchronous connection between technical infrastructure and social infrastructure. Essential services such as transport, water supply and drainage, parks, green spaces, children's playgrounds, public restrooms, etc., will be strongly invested in.

In the future, the city needs to be synchronously invested according to modern urban standards, thereby improving the quality of life for residents and building Dong Nai's brand both nationally and internationally. That is the affirmation that Dong Nai will become a civilized, modern, and truly livable city.
