The Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology has issued Plan No. 61/KH-SKHCN, dated April 6, 2026, regarding the implementation of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) architecture for smart urban development in Dong Nai province, version 2.0.

The Dong Nai province's ICT architecture for smart urban development, version 2.0, is a framework document defining the principles, reference models, technical standards, and core components of the technology system enabling smart urban development. Additionally, it creates a cohesive foundation for smart city development across Dong Nai province. It supports departments, agencies, localities, and companies in implementing ICT solutions for smart city development in a coordinated, compatible manner, ensuring connectivity and interoperability while preventing redundant investment and resource waste.

To support governance, operations, and the delivery of urban services tailored to local context and practical requirements, the ICT architecture aims to ensure that smart city information systems can share and use open data.

The Dong Nai province's ICT architecture for smart urban development, version 2.0, contains information about the general architectural diagram of the ICT reference framework for smart urban development in Dong Nai province, version 2.0; the development of content for entities using smart city services and applications; and the creation of parts and functions for smart applications in province-specific sectors, such as smart transportation, smart education, and smart healthcare.

Previously, in late March 2026, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 1045/QD-UBND approving the tasks and budget estimates for building the Dong Nai province's ICT architecture for smart urban development, version 2.0.
