Possessing an increasingly complete transportation infrastructure system, directly connected to Long Thanh International Airport, and serving as the eastern gateway to Ho Chi Minh City, Nhon Trach in Dong Nai province is converging many outstanding advantages to break through and rise to become a modern urban area.

With a population of 156,798 and an area of 108.04 square kilometers, Nhon Trach boasts a population density of 1,452 people per square kilometer. The locality also benefits from a large land fund and ample room for development, creating favorable conditions for synchronized planning of new urban areas, the development of eco-tourism, and the establishment of high-quality commercial and service centers.

In recent years, Nhon Trach has gradually affirmed its important role in the regional connectivity network. A series of key transport projects has been vigorously implemented. At present, Nhon Trach is one of Dong Nai’s major industrial hubs, with five industrial parks and one industrial cluster in operation, attracting 391 FDI projects with a total registered capital of more than 7.57 billion USD, as well as 142 domestic projects with a total capital of over VND 20.54 trillion. These industrial parks and clusters have created jobs for more than 131,520 workers, while industry, construction, and services account for 99% of the economic structure.

At the same time, the locality is also one of the units that ensures budget revenue and makes positive contributions to the provincial budget. In 2025, total budget revenue reached 449.977 billion VND, equaling 114.3% of the estimate.

Residents’ living standards have continued to improve, with average income reaching 98.86 million VND per person per year, higher than the provincial average. The multidimensional poverty rate has dropped to just 0.16%, lower than the overall provincial level.

Beyond economic growth, Nhon Trach has also focused on preserving and promoting the distinctive cultural identity of the Southeast region. Provincial-level historical and architectural relics, such as Phu My Communal House and Phuoc Thien Communal House, have been well preserved, serving as places for traditional revolutionary education and fostering patriotism and national pride among generations.

With solid foundations and significant advantages, this is considered a “golden time” for Nhon Trach to accelerate its development and prepare for its transformation into an urban ward, aiming to become a modern, civilized, and livable urban area.
