Also joining the working delegation were Major General Le Ngoc Hai, Deputy Chief-of-Staff of Military Region 7; Colonel Nguyen Anh Duc, Deputy Commander of the Provincial Military Command, and Commander of the Dong Nai Border Guard Command; and Lieutenant Colonel Doan Trong Nghia, Deputy Commander and Chief-of-Staff of the Dong Nai Border Guard Command.

Following the administrative merger, Dong Nai province now has a border line stretching 258.939 km, bordering three provinces of the Kingdom of Cambodia: Kratie, Tboung Khmum, and Mondulkiri. Along this border line, there are 16 border guard stations and 8 border communes.

During the working session, the delegation received briefings and conducted on-site inspections at several locations, including the Hoa Lu International Border Gate Border Guard Station and Bu Dop Border Guard Station. They also surveyed proposed installation sites, assessing terrain conditions, technical infrastructure, and the system’s connectivity and operational feasibility. This is considered an important mission to strengthen management capacity, safeguard territorial sovereignty, and ensure security and order in the border area under new circumstances.

The head of the working delegation also took note of Dong Nai’s recommendations and emphasized that the application of science and technology in border management and protection is an urgent requirement. This will help improve surveillance efficiency and enable the timely detection and prevention of violations.

Major General Tran Ngoc Huu requested that the provincial Border Guard Command, its subordinate units, and relevant agencies should continue close coordination, accelerate implementation progress, and ensure the quality and synchronization of the system.

Once completed, the surveillance system is expected to support the provincial Border Guard in patrol and control activities, contributing to maintaining political security, social order, and safety, while promoting socio-economic development in border areas. In doing so, it will also help reinforce the core and specialized role of the Border Guard in managing and firmly protecting national sovereignty and border security.
