Le Ba Chuyen, Director of the Dong Nai Branch of VBSP, reported at the conference that the city’s total policy credit funds had exceeded VND13.8 trillion as of September 30, 2026, an increase of more than VND1.7 trillion from the beginning of the year. Over 211,700 poor households and other eligible policy beneficiaries had loans from VBSP, with an average loan amount of over VND65.3 million per borrower. Meanwhile, 97.5% of the city’s 4,371 Savings and Credit Groups received good or fairly good ratings. VBSP’s city branch and relevant units also maintained stable, uninterrupted and secure information technology operations.

Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Hoang acknowledged the efforts of agencies in coordinating the implementation of policy credit programs across the city.

Hoang called on members of the city’s VBSP representative board to review their assigned targets and tasks and ensure they were fulfilled during the remaining months of 2026. She also urged them to promptly and effectively implement resolutions and directions from VBSP’s Board of Directors and executive management, as well as directives from the Dong Nai City Party Committee and the City People’s Committee regarding policy credit and the bank’s operations. Political and social organizations were urged to strengthen communication of the Party’s and State’s policies on social policy credit, particularly among poor households and other eligible policy beneficiaries.

Members of the city’s VBSP representative board were also urged to coordinate efforts to mobilize additional funds for policy credit programs. They should help borrowers develop sustainable livelihoods and effective business activities, while linking policy loans with agricultural, forestry and aquaculture extension services, technical support, technology transfer and assistance with product marketing. Inspection and supervision should also be strengthened, particularly in the selection and approval of borrowers and the use of loan proceeds, to ensure that loans reach the intended beneficiaries, are granted in accordance with regulations and are used effectively

Policy credit operations must be safe, effective and compliant with regulations, while making it easier for poor households, other eligible policy beneficiaries and local residents to obtain information about and access preferential loans.
