Aspiring to new heights

Dong Nai is entering a new phase of development, full of opportunities and challenges. Its greatest assets lie not only in its land resources, transport links and position as a dynamic economic hub, but above all in its people and their shared commitment to their homeland. A new Dong Nai is taking shape with each passing day.

People contribute in different ways through their respective roles and responsibilities, yet share a common goal of building a green, prosperous, civilized and modern city while helping the country advance confidently into a new era.

From everyday efforts to collective strength

As dawn breaks in Dong Nai, farmers head to their fields, workers at more than 40 industrial parks begin their shifts, construction crews get to work on major national projects, and government offices open for a new working day. In every role, officials, civil servants and workers carry out their duties with a strong sense of responsibility. These everyday efforts help keep Dong Nai’s socio-economic development on track.

Dong Nai’s development is shaped not only by major projects and strategic policy decisions but also by the everyday contributions of people from all walks of life. Farmers adopt new production methods, businesses invest in technology to raise productivity, officials take the initiative to remove obstacles and handle administrative matters more efficiently, and young people pursue education, innovate, start businesses and master new technologies.

Each contribution may seem small, but when millions of people join forces, their collective efforts become a powerful driver of development. In the first nine months of 2026, Dong Nai’s gross regional domestic product (GRDP) grew by 10.01% year on year. GRDP at current prices exceeded VND552 trillion, an increase of nearly VND66.6 trillion from the same period in 2025. Behind these figures are the strong political commitment of the City Party Committee’s Executive Board, the proactive and decisive direction of authorities at all levels, the efforts of the entire political system, and the solidarity of businesses and people from all walks of life. When everyone fulfills their responsibilities, their combined efforts can bring about meaningful change in their homeland.

Consensus built to overcome challenges

Today’s Dong Nai has been shaped by generations of settlers and their hard work. Those who came before built their lives here through their own labor and faith in the future. They cleared and cultivated the land, established villages and hamlets, strengthened community ties and gradually laid the foundations for a dynamic industrial and agricultural economy.

Through periods of hardship, resilience, compassion and mutual support have become enduring values among the people of Dong Nai. These qualities continue to shape the city as it enters a new phase of development.

Many major infrastructure projects are underway, with tight deadlines to be met. Site clearance must be expedited without compromising residents’ legitimate rights and interests. Businesses must upgrade their technology, improve productivity and strengthen their competitiveness, while workers need to continually develop their skills to keep pace with market shifts and technological advances. Against this backdrop, broad-based consensus is essential.

Consensus grows when local authorities and officials engage directly with residents, stay close to the grassroots, listen to people’s concerns and promptly address problems as they arise. Businesses contribute by working with local authorities, investing in and expanding production, creating jobs and improving workers’ livelihoods. Residents, in turn, can support shared development goals by offering feedback, monitoring public affairs and participating in efforts to build local government.

Consensus does not emerge automatically. It must be built on trust, a sense of responsibility and a shared commitment to agreed goals.

Working together for tangible benefits

Dong Nai is home to 37 ethnic groups and workers from across the country who have come to live and work in its industrial parks. This diversity has created a vibrant community with varied cultural traditions, occupations and life experiences.

As Dong Nai continues to develop, its community becomes stronger when everyone is respected, given opportunities to contribute and able to share in the benefits of progress. This collective strength must be reflected in concrete action.

This requires local authorities to proactively remove obstacles to business operations and recognize that thriving businesses are essential to the local economy. Businesses, in turn, should create jobs, improve working conditions and care for their employees. The community must also support migrant workers, helping those who come to Dong Nai to build their future feel that they have found a second home.

Community ties are also strengthened through closer relationships among ethnic groups, religious communities and neighborhoods. Together, they can work toward practical goals: improving people’s livelihoods, ensuring that children receive an education, caring for older people, expanding opportunities for young people and helping every family achieve a stable life.

When people’s legitimate interests are given due attention, their voices are heard and their contributions are valued, public trust deepens. That trust, in turn, strengthens the community and drives further development.

Aspiration measured by quality of life

Dong Nai’s ambition to become a modern and civilized city is reflected not only in economic growth targets and major construction projects. Ultimately, the value of development must be measured by how much it improves people’s everyday lives.

These improvements are evident in better regional transport links, made possible in part by cooperation in site clearance; social housing projects that give workers more opportunities to find affordable homes; continued industrial growth supported by businesses and their employees; and administrative reforms and digital transformation that make public services more accessible and convenient for residents and businesses.

Dong Nai’s industrial production index rose by 12.55% in the first nine months of 2026, reflecting the efforts of businesses and workers to sustain and expand production. These economic gains must translate into tangible improvements in quality of life, including more jobs and better living conditions for residents.

Dong Nai is approaching a major turning point with many opportunities for its development. Infrastructure investment is continuing, new opportunities for growth are opening up, and additional economic drivers are taking shape. At the same time, the city faces growing demands for better governance, a more skilled workforce, stronger competitiveness and a higher quality of life. Challenges remain, but overcoming them will further demonstrate the resilience and collective strength of its people.

Putting people first, serving their interests, drawing strength from them and ensuring that they share in the benefits of development are more than an action motto. They are essential to building public trust and encouraging people to contribute to their community. Whether they are farmers working the land, workers on production lines, entrepreneurs building their businesses or officials serving local communities, everyone can contribute their skills, ideas and commitment to Dong Nai’s development.

How far Dong Nai can go depends on the collective efforts and shared commitment of its people. The city is writing a new chapter in its development, driven by the determination to reach new heights and the strength of great national unity bloc.
