These workers are not only exemplary participants in emulation movements but also actively contribute to improvements, quickly adapt to new production technologies and meet the development requirements of enterprises.
Emulating through concrete actions
Tran Quang, an employee of Nippon Paint Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park), was among the 97 workers honored by the Dong Nai City Federation of Labor in the Good Labor, Creative Labor Emulation Movement for the 2024-2025 period. Having worked for the enterprise for many years, Quang has actively participated in improvement initiatives, identified shortcomings in the production process and proposed solutions to improve the working environment, reduce costs and make it easier for workers to perform their tasks, thereby improving work efficiency.
Quang shared: “During my work, I always think about how to make tasks more efficient, safer and more convenient for workers. Whether an improvement is big or small, if it helps reduce time, save costs or create a better working environment, I try to implement it. I hope to share my experience with my colleagues so that we can improve our skills and perform our duties well together”.
Outstanding frontline workers are vivid examples of the sense of responsibility, determination to advance and desire to make contribution of Dong Nai's workers. When such exemplary workers are identified, honored and replicated, emulation movements in production will become increasingly substantive, helping build a skilled and creative workforce capable of meeting the development requirements of enterprises and the locality.
Meanwhile, Chu Thi Kim Phuong, a sewing line leader at Vietnam Wacoal Co., Ltd. (Amata Industrial Park), has made an impression with her eagerness to learn. Starting as a frontline worker, she gradually improved her skills and actively supported colleagues in dealing with problems arising during work. Phuong said that for frontline workers, every product is closely linked to the reputation of the enterprise. Therefore, she always reminds herself to work carefully and ensure quality from the very first stage. “When I do my job well, I not only contribute to the company's overall results but also motivate my colleagues to make further efforts”, Phuong shared.
At enterprises, workers not only complete their assigned tasks well but also proactively seek improvements in working methods and product quality. A typical example is Duong Cong Khue, a worker at Global Powersports Manufacturing Incorporation (Trang Bom Commune). During his work, noticing that some stages took too much time, he proactively studied the issues, discussed them with colleagues and proposed improvements. His practical initiatives helped improve productivity and product quality while benefiting both the enterprise and workers. In May 2015, Khue was honored to be admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam at his company.
Stories like these show that the good labor movement does not necessarily begin with major achievements. Sometimes, it starts with dedication to every stage of production, a willingness to overcome difficulties, a commitment to continuous learning and the courage to find new ways of working. What is especially valuable is that after being honored, outstanding workers do not keep their experience to themselves but continue to share and guide their colleagues. In this way, one initiative can inspire many others, and one skilled worker can become a nucleus that encourages an entire team, production line or workshop to join the emulation movement.
Spreading the spirit of creativity
In the process of socio-economic development, workers and employees always play an important role, directly creating products, improving productivity and enhancing the competitiveness of enterprises. In Dong Nai, many production emulation movements have become a driving force for workers to develop initiatives, improve techniques and enhance their skills. As a result, more and more outstanding workers have emerged, not only performing their assigned tasks well but also spreading a spirit of responsibility and creativity within enterprises.

Phan Toi Tho Hiep, Chairman of the Trade Union at Tokin Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Long Binh Industrial Park), said that at the enterprise, the good labor emulation movement among workers is demonstrated through practical daily activities. These may include an initiative that shortens production time, a solution to improve machinery, savings in raw materials, or simply a proactive attitude toward learning to improve productivity and product quality. “For many workers, good labor emulation is not about achieving something extraordinary. It starts with doing each stage well, following procedures, ensuring occupational safety and continuously seeking more effective ways of working”, Hiep said.
Alongside workers, trade unions at all levels also play an important role in identifying, honoring and replicating outstanding examples. Nguyen Quoc Dung, Chairman of the Dong Nai City Federation of Labor, said the 97 outstanding frontline workers honored were dynamic role models who took the lead in technical improvements and the application of new technologies, contributing to higher productivity and product quality and spreading the spirit of creative labor throughout the city. Through recognition and rewards, the trade union organization hopes to motivate workers to maintain their pioneering spirit, continue learning and innovating, and spread positive values in labor and production in the new era.
To promote more examples of outstanding workers, trade unions at all levels in Dong Nai need to continue innovating the content and methods of organizing emulation movements, linking emulation with production and business tasks and the practical requirements of enterprises. At the same time, it is important to identify new outstanding workers from the grassroots level, especially frontline workers with initiatives and solutions that deliver practical results. More importantly, each outstanding worker should be regarded as a “nucleus” for inspiring others, sharing experience and encouraging colleagues to progress together.
