On the morning of January 7, the Dong Nai Youth Union and the Dong Nai chapter of the Vietnam National Union of Students jointly held a ceremony to mark the 76th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnamese Students and the Vietnam National Union of Students (January 9, 1950 – 2026). The event was attended by Nguyen Minh Kien, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai Province and Secretary of the Dong Nai Youth Union.

Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Tran Phuong Ha, Deputy Secretary of the Dong Nai Youth Union and Vice President of the Dong Nai chapter of the Vietnam National Union of Students, affirmed that under the leadership of the Party and guided by the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh, the student movement and the Vietnam National Union of Students have continued to grow steadily since their inception. The organization has affirmed its role as a close companion of students and a bridge connecting students with the Party and the State, while fulfilling its mission of educating and nurturing students and contributing to the firm safeguarding of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The year 2026 marks a pivotal period for major national events and key milestones for the Youth Union, serving as a crucial year for implementing the Resolution of the first Provincial Youth Union Congress of Dong Nai for the 2025–2030 term. At the ceremony, the Secretariat of the provincial Students’ Union officially launched a special emulation campaign starting in January 2026 to celebrate the 14th National Party Congress, the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels, the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2026–2031 term, and the 13th National Youth Union Congress.

Accordingly, students in Dong Nai pledged to strive in their studies and follow President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings, nurture lofty aspirations, and work to become students who are both morally upright and professionally competent. They also committed to fostering compassion, preserving national cultural identity and traditions, addressing national challenges, and contributing their talents and enthusiasm to the country’s prosperity.
The provincial Youth Union and Students’ Union will continue to study and organize activities and movements that are increasingly relevant and practical for students, providing support so that Youth Union and Students’ Union organizations in schools become reliable companions in learning, personal development, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

At the ceremony, under authorization from the Secretariat of the Central Youth Union and the Central Vietnam National Union of Students, the provincial Youth Union and Students’ Union honored one collective with the “Five-Good Student” collective title; 13 individuals with the “Five-Good Student” title; three individuals with the January Star Award; and 19 individuals with the “Three-Good Student” title at the central level. Additionally, five collectives and 61 individuals received the “Five-Good Student” title at the provincial level, along with 23 outstanding student leaders from Dong Nai Province for the 2024–2025 academic year.
On behalf of the Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union and the Dong Nai chapter of the Vietnam National Union of Students, Nguyen Tran Phuong Ha, Deputy Secretary of the Dong Nai Youth Union and Vice President of the Dong Nai chapter of the Vietnam National Union of Students, commended and honored the achievements of the recognized collectives and individuals. She expressed her confidence that, following the commendation ceremony, these collectives and individuals would continue to strive for excellence in their studies, actively participate in Youth Union and Students’ Union activities, and contribute their youthful energy to building and developing Dong Nai into a green, prosperous, civilized, and modern province.
