Public spaces elevate urban life in central Dong Nai

Dong Nai is making concerted efforts to improve public spaces to enhance residents’ quality of life while meeting the criteria for a civilized and modern urban area.

Bien Hung Park in Tran Bien ward has become an urban “green lung” thanks to its lake and many old trees.

Alongside the inauguration of Duong Tu Giang Park in Tam Hiep ward in 2025, the Provincial Party Standing Committee directed the removal of fences in front of Square Park in Tan Trieu ward, creating a more open, green, and connected space. Following the removal, the number of visitors coming for exercise and recreation has increased several-fold, bringing a more vibrant atmosphere. Notably, toward the end of 2025, the Dong Nai riverside road project, together with its extended embankment, added a new landscape highlight to the central urban area.

According to Chairman of the Tran Bien ward People’s Committee Nguyen Duy Tan, the locality currently hosts the province's largest number of public facilities and continues to expand additional spaces.

As community participation grows, residents are increasingly engaging in public activities, which, in turn, raises demand for larger, more accessible public spaces.
